Child, Adolescent, and Family Therapy in Santa Monica, Encino and Virtually across California
Hi, I’m Rachel
My journey as a therapist began in community mental health, where I had the privilege of serving diverse and often underserved communities throughout Los Angeles. Since then, I have expanded my work across multiple levels of care, including residential treatment programs for adolescents and their families, as well as private practice settings. Today, I provide therapy both in person in Southern California and virtually to clients throughout California.
Throughout my career, I have worked with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, family conflict, self-esteem challenges, trauma, eating disorders, and emotion regulation difficulties. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the unique challenges individuals and families face and reinforced my commitment to providing personalized, compassionate care. Whether helping a client develop effective coping strategies, process recent or longstanding trauma, navigate family conflict, or simply providing a safe and attentive space to be heard, I am continually reminded of the courage it takes to seek support and the importance of having someone alongside you in that process.
My therapeutic approach is warm, authentic, and tailored to each client's unique needs. I believe that therapy should not only foster insight but also provide practical tools that can be applied in everyday life. My work draws from several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Directed Family Therapy, and Gottman-informed interventions. By integrating these modalities, I help clients develop healthier coping strategies, improve relationships, strengthen emotional regulation, and move toward lives that feel more aligned with their values.
I bring my full self to the therapy room, creating space for growth, self-discovery, and meaningful change. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, family conflict, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, or simply feeling stuck, I will meet you where you are and support you in moving toward the version of yourself you want to become.
If you are looking for a therapist who will provide a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space for healing and growth, I invite you to reach out for a free consultation.
