Kids
A child’s first therapy experience should be supportive, nurturing, and often times fun! I believe every child is unique, special, and the same should be true of their therapy experience. I listen to my clients, no matter their age, to bring them the best care possible for them.
I draw from my extensive experience working with children, in a clinical setting and from personal experience. I hope to shed light on emotions that your child may not be able to put a name to and other concerns such as: childhood anxiety and depression, emotional regulation, school refusal, bullying, and outbursts. You and your child can expect to be met with warmth and care in our sessions.
Adolescents and Teens
Getting older is tough and it can all be pretty overwhelming for your adolescents and teenagers. Having a trusted ally or cheerleader in their corner can make all the difference in a young person’s life.
I am dedicated to addressing issues that your teen is dealing with such as: Forming identity, navigating friendships and changing dynamics, academic pressure, burn out, and anxiety to name just a few. I approach working with adolescents and teens with support and empathy, and inspire in them the belief that they are bigger than their struggles and that they are seen, cherished, and cared for.
Young Adults
Your 20s can oftentimes hit you pretty hard. New expectations about having it all figured out can be tough to manage, especially when you might not know which direction you are heading in. I provide my adult clients the room to grow and change, and know that it’s ok to not have all the answers right at this moment.
For many, your 20s is the first time you feel “on your own.” This can bring up a number of concerns in a person’s life like lack of motivation, feeling stuck, professional burnout, quarter life crisis, people pleasing, and forming identity. Through therapy, we can work together to identify what you are looking for in life and help you achieve those goals!
